2018 Dads Club Winter Campout


“S’mores and Snores” – January 26-27, 2018

Don’t miss the inaugural Dads Club Campout, an event sure to create lasting memories for you and your children!   All campers will receive dinner, beverages, and s’mores.  The evening will feature a scavenger hunt, photo booth, and craft-making.  In addition, The Houston Astronomical Society (HAS) is putting on a “Star Party” for our little astronomers (weather permitting).  Breakfast will be served on Saturday morning.

The 2017 Barnes & Noble Book Fair is December 8th & 9th!

The 2017 Barnes & Noble Book Fair is THIS WEEKEND!

The Online Auction, containing Buy Now and Wish List items only, re-opens this morning (Wednesday, November 29) at 10 am, and bidding will end on Monday, December 4,  at 10 p.m. sharp.  Please click the link above to check out the remaining selection of unsold Great Gatherings – we even have a few spots left for some of the teacher socials and for school privileges!  The auction also offers opportunities to donate to our wonderful specialist programs (Art, Science, PE, Music, Technology, and Spanish) and to Teacher Appreciation.

The items available to purchase are grouped into the following categories:

1.  Second Chance Sale:  New this year!  Due to the fact that not all the BID-UP spots for some of the gatherings sold, we have the opportunity to offer the remaining spots at one low BUY NOW price! Be sure to check them out!   Many of these items can also be found in the other Great Gatherings categories listed below.

2.  Great Gatherings:  The Great Gatherings are grouped into the following categories:  Grade Level Gatherings, Mixed Grade Gatherings, Family Gatherings, and Adult Gatherings (some Gatherings are offered in multiple categories).  Most items offer multiple available spots.

3.  Wish Lists:  This category consists of opportunities for auction participants to donate directly to specified programs, needs and activities at ROE (specialist programs, teacher appreciation, technology needs, etc.).  Donors do not receive any goods or services in return for donations made under this category, making the entire donation 100% tax deductible.

Buy Now items will be sold on a first-come, first-purchased basis and must be paid for at the time of purchase.  All Buy Now items will indicate the number of remaining lots available for purchase, and will also list the name of any person who has purchased a lot for a particular item.

2017-2018 Annual Fund


While we realize Hurricane Relief will take precedence in your philanthropic giving, we hope you will consider supporting our school campaign as well. As in year’s past, our Annual Fund is primarily focused on participation and we appreciate any contribution.

The ROE PTO Annual Fund was launched five years ago to replace traditional fundraising campaigns such as gift wrap and cookie dough sales.  100% of your Annual Fund donation goes directly to ROE and helps to cover the cost of programs like in-service/trainings for teachers, the annual IB fee, field trips at every grade level, technology in our classrooms, campus security, teacher and staff appreciation, last summer’s Nature Center updates, the new sound system and much more.  The PTO’s ability to fund these types of programs and activities for our students and faculty is part of what makes ROE such an exceptional school.

Every contribution makes a difference!!  We are challenging ROE families to have 100% participation in the Annual Fund by Tuesday, October 17, 2017.  In addition to helping to make our awesome school even more amazing, there are three good reasons to donate:

1.       Each student that donates will be entered in a drawing for one of five ROE t-shirts from the ROE Spirit Store.

2.       The first class in each grade level to reach 100% participation will win popsicles for the whole class!

3.        If the entire school reaches its goal of 100% participation and/or raising $90,000, Dr. Fovargue will    personally DJ a dance party for the entire school!!!

2017 Fun Run: Saturday, October 14

Saturday, October 14th – ROE Playground

8:30am – 11:30am

Join us for this annual tradition on the ROE Playground!  FREE ACTIVITIES include an inflatable slide & obstacle course, face painters, music from DJ London, and breakfast snacks & coffee!  $15 PRE-REGISTRATION includes, 2017 Fun Run t-shirt, race entry, finisher prizes for all runners, and medals for 1st.2nd & 3rd place finishers in each grade.

Please go to to register.  Deadline for pre-registration is Thursday, September 28.  You may register the day of the event for $15, but you will NOT receive a t-shirt since they will be distributed in advance.
