We Need You!

Volunteers are a precious asset at River Oaks Elementary. If you are interested in one or more of the activities areas described on the activities pages, or one of the opportunities listed below, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, giving your name, child’s name, home phone number, cell phone number, and email address. To volunteer, contact the Volunteer Coordinators.

Volunteers Needed Now

We are looking for volunteers to immediately fill the following roles:

  • Field Day Chairperson(s)
  • Yearbook Content Coordinator
  • Yearbook Designer
  • School Entryway Gardener

Activities Coordinated by the PTO

The PTO coordinates many activities throughout the year. The following list identifies several of these fun-filled events where we need your help:

Volunteer Opportunities Throughout the Year

We have several additional areas where we help through the school year:

  • Library Support – assist with shelving, cataloging, etc.
  • Traffic/Carpool Assistance (Any Day) – help children in and out of cars in circle Drive and on Avalon.
  • Nature Center – gardening, maintenance of the center, etc.
  • IB – help with bulletin boards and projects .
